Caring for Colored S-Town Hoodies
Preserving the color of your hoodie starts with the wash. Turn it inside out, use cold water, and avoid bleach. The 80/20 cotton-poly blend is durable but prone to fading if you use hot water or high heat drying.
- Wash: Cold water, gentle cycle. Separate darks and lights after the first wash to prevent dye transfer.
- Dry: Tumble dry low or air dry. High heat shrinks the cotton and fades the dye.
- Iron: If needed, iron on low heat inside out. The embroidery can snag on high settings.
For seasonal colors like Woodstock Red, I recommend washing alone for the first three cycles. The dyes are less stable and may bleed slightly. That's normal and won't affect the embroidery or overall look.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are S-Town hoodies true to size?
Yes, they run true to size with a standard fit. If you prefer a looser look, size up. The fabric has minimal shrinkage if washed cold and dried low.
Do limited edition colors restock?
No. Once a seasonal color sells out, it's unlikely to return. We may release similar tones in the future, but each run is unique.
How long does the embroidery last on colored hoodies?
The embroidery is high-density thread stitched directly into the fleece. With proper care, it will outlast the fabric. Avoid harsh scrubbing on the embroidered area.
Can I get a custom color?
Not at this time. We curate the palette based on fan feedback and show themes. Check back each quarter for new seasonal drops.
What color hides wear best?
Heather gray hides pilling and fading better than any solid color. Navy is second. Black shows lint and pet hair more easily.
